Ali Draheim Is a Winner!

She guessed 3001 coffee beans, there were 3112 in the coffee carafe. Being the closest to the mark, Ali has won the grand prize: as much coffee and tea as she can consume in a year. We should make her sign a medical waiver, but we won't. Maria Alonso was very close, having guessed 3000 coffee beans. She's won lunch or dinner at Kavarna for her and a guest. Amanda Hall and Lori Rasmussen tied for second place, with their identical guesses of 3246 beans. They've won t-shirts. Kari Semrau guessed 3320 coffee beans, coming in third and winning an insulated Kavarna mug. Mary Teresi came in fourth (2895), and Barbara Dorff came in fifth (2754). Congratulations Winners! Thanks for playing.

Update: (That's Austin, the bean counter. Thanks Austin!)

Black Bean and Chipotle Chili

Made with fresh tomatoes, red peppers, onions, black beans and chipotle chili peppers, Kavarna's Chipotle and Black Bean Chili is spicy and good.

December 16, Songwriter's Showcase, 7 pm: Open Mic for Songwriter's! We've often been asked why we've never had an open mic at Kavarna. Well, it's simple. There are a lot of open mics out there already, and we wanted something a little different. The showcase is an open invitation to come and present original songs to an audience comprised of other songwriters (as well as the general public).

We send out an eNewsletter about once a month to share information of value (hopefully!) with our community, as well as to pass along special promotions and the like.
