Black Bean and Chipotle Chili
Made with fresh tomatoes, red peppers, onions, black beans and chipotle chili peppers, Kavarna's Chipotle and Black Bean Chili is spicy and good.
Another Winterfest has come and gone... And once again we were chained to the chilipot, unable to checkout the petting zoo, the hayrides, or to dunk the mayor. Did we win the cook-off? Well, we assume they would have called us, and they still haven't. We actually thought that Stan and Ollie's Boathouse deserved to win this year. I'm sure someone will tell us on Monday.
We mostly watched people eat chili.
Back at the shop, an ice sculptor named Jim carved a dragon out of a large chunk of ice. There's probably not much of it left by now. I guess the lesson is that Winterfest is transient, it's meant to be enjoyed while it's happening.
