Made with fresh tomatoes, red peppers, onions, black beans and chipotle chili peppers, Kavarna's Chipotle and Black Bean Chili is spicy and good.

I've been totally remiss in not mentioning this, and I can't use the baby as an excuse because the man (Nick Utrie) who put this show together also has a newborn infant daughter: Wayne "the Train" Hancock is coming to town and performing at Titletown Brewing this Saturday night at 8pm. Tickets are on sale at Kavarna for $10 (they'll be $15 on the night of the show). If you're not familiar with Hancock, he is an almost perfect evocation of american popular music styles, combining country with swing. Western Swing? Perhaps, but it's just a bit more rockabilly than that. Whatever he is, he's all-American and it should be a lovely show. Green Bay native son Eddie Biebel will be playing lead. It's the thing to do on Saturday night. I'm listening to samples from his website as I write this, and I for one am excited by the prospect of seeing this live.
